Franklinton Parks and Recreation
The Franklinton Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was
recently created to improve the parks and recreation activities
for all ages. Most of the funding for these projects will come
via state and federal grants. The board is currently working on
constructing a recreation complex that will have baseball and
softball complexes, soccer and football fields, walking paths,
playgrounds, pavilions and more.
Franklinton has approximately 500 boys and girls that
participate in youth baseball, 300 in girls softball and 250 in
football, basketball and soccer.
The board is comprised of one member from each local youth
association and ten members who were selected by the Mayor and
Town Council.
